Pinot Nero Revei from Aymavilles. The vines grow at elevations between 650 to 800 meters above sea level.
Revei means “clock” in the local dialect. The wine is named after a story about a medieval tower that stands near the vineyard. The tower once housed a reclusive clockmaker, whose profession focused on time and its value and influence on nature and humanity.
The color is a brilliant ruby red.
The aroma is full of fruit and enticing, with ripe red berries and a delicate hint of cocoa.
The taste is juicy, pleasantly acidic on the palate with a fine structure and velvety tannins.
Impressive depth and length!
The mere 1,800 bottles of the Revei vintage are the result of time, extensive experience, and patience. During the production, maturation, and aging, time plays a fundamental role.
After harvesting in early October, the wine matured for 18 months in 700-liter tonneaux followed by 18 months of bottle aging.
