Collection: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most popular red grape varieties in the world. The grape variety originates from the Bordeaux region of France, but is today grown in many countries, including the USA, Australia, Chile, South Africa and Argentina.

Cabernet Sauvignon grapes thrive best in warm and sunny climates with good drainage. The grape variety is known for producing robust and powerful red wines with a deep color and a complex bouquet of fruit aromas, including notes of cassis, black pepper, tobacco and licorice. Cabernet Sauvignon wines are often described as having a strong flavor with high tannins and a strong acidity.

The grape variety ripens late and is therefore often grown in vineyards in higher mountain areas or in areas with a cooler climate. Cabernet Sauvignon is often blended with other red wine varieties, including Merlot and Cabernet Franc, to provide a blend with a good balance between flavor, aroma and tannins.
